Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania

Last updated . Sources are linked in the text.

Return to Castlevania adds licensed castle content to Dead Cells. It keeps the host game's run-based action; it is not a port collection or the standalone Belmont's Curse.

What the DLC includes

Released 6 March 2023. The publisher lists two castle areas, three bosses, 14 weapons and 20 outfits. Examples include the Vampire Killer, Throwing Axe and Holy Water; Richter and Alucard guide the journey.
Death and Dracula appear as bosses. This is a Dead Cells expansion, not a playable copy of Rondo of Blood or Symphony of the Night.

What to buy

You need Dead Cells plus Return to Castlevania on the same platform. A bundle may include both, but a DLC-only listing does not. Check the contents of the selected regional storefront rather than assuming the base game includes every expansion.
Choose this for run-based 2D action. Choose Requiem for the original Rondo and Symphony. Belmont's Curse is a separate product, not an update unlocked by buying this DLC.
Dead Cells base game and Return to Castlevania DLC have separate store entries. Owning a copy on another platform does not establish that a selected Steam package includes it.
