I read the full Konami notice linked under 14 October 2026 and checked it on 16 October. It describes three specific issues; the workarounds below are the publisher's instructions, not fixes I reproduced locally.

Update history

: Reviewed linked sources, availability and the scope of the answers below. Reported findings are distinguished from publisher specifications and editorial recommendations.

Start with the official notice

Konami's Known Issues Notice, linked under 14 October 2026, reports Steam / Xbox on PC launch failures when V-Sync is OFF and FPS is Unlimited.
For that specific launch failure, Konami instructs players to temporarily set the Windows monitor refresh rate below 60 Hz, launch the game, open Settings / Video Settings, turn V-Sync ON and close the game, then restore the monitor's original refresh rate. If repeated attempts fail, contact Konami support. This is not a universal black-screen fix.
The same notice reports partially off-screen UI on Steam Deck, with a fix under investigation. It also reports that certain system languages, mainly Arabic, can block progress past the title screen after saving and returning to it on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and Xbox on PC. Its workaround is to change the system language to a supported one such as English.

Questions I will not fake an answer for

The notice does not establish ultrawide support, a complete keyboard layout or a fix for a specific dark room. No local reproduction or resolved patch is claimed here. The notice was still describing a patch in preparation when checked on 16 October 2026.
The publisher lists 30 fps on Switch and 60 fps generally; these are specifications, not performance benchmarks or PC fixes. See platforms.

Questions

Does the notice confirm ultrawide support?

No. It describes a V-Sync / Unlimited FPS launch issue, Steam Deck UI cropping, and a system-language title-screen block.

What is the language workaround?

For the documented title-screen block, Konami says to change the system language to a supported language such as English and continue using the existing save.
